BECOMING A PATCHED MEMBER OF VBMC
The process is actually very simple. First we’re hoping you’ve had the time to read over our information provided here on our website. We understand there is a lot of material here to digest however it is our objective to be as transparent and to provide as much information to those interested as possible. We are an above board organization with our business headquarters and WV Chapter 001 first registered with the State of WV in April 2011. We believe our goals and objectives are indeed honorable and speak for themselves.
First, we require that you become a Hang Around for however long we determine it takes for us to know you and you to know us. We will test your loyalty and devotion during this hang around period. If you are a Veteran and interested in becoming an active Veteran Member of VBMC, we will at some point require from you a zerox copy of your DD Form 214 or your Discharge Certificate (either will do) to prove your Veteran Status. If you are currently active duty, guard or reserve we require a zerox copy of your military ID Card or recent copy of military orders. If you are a non-veteran and interested in becoming an active PATRIOT Member of VBMC we do NOT require this documentation). All potential members must be a licensed rider, the license must carry the motorcycle endorsement for your State. Also you must have an operational motorcycle that meets the club minimal standards, that is licensed for your State along with motorcycle insurance. Proof of these items (documentation) is required.
Secondly, at some point AFTER your Hang Around period we will require that you complete our VBMC JOINING APPLICATION which we will provide you the link to. Download and print the ENTIRE Joining Application Packet (the Statement of Conformity document, Waiver of Liability document, VBMC OATH document and VBMC Property Agreement document will be included in this packet). Once you have a printed copy of the Joining Application, read over the entire document initialing each page in the small space provided near the bottom right of each page. When you come to the Statement of Conformity, Waiver of Liability, VBMC Oath and VBMC Property Agreement documents read over them carefully and if you agree to the terms please sign and date them IN FRONT OF A NOTARY. We must have the notary signature and seal on each of these forms.
Also included in the packet you will find the Colors Patch form. NOTE: YOU ARE NOT BUYING A PATCH. ALL MAIN COLORS PATCHES BELONG TO THE CLUB AND YOU WILL EARN THE RIGHT TO WEAR THEM. By filling out this form you are simply telling us what size patches you’ll be needing if and when you earn the right to wear them. There is a large set and a smaller set and they are not to be mixed. (Be sure to measure across the back of your BLACK LEATHER VEST from arm cutout to arm cutout to make sure the size of patches you are requesting will fit within the width of your vest). Once earned, we will provide you a set of our main Colors patches based on the size set you request. There will be restrictions on which of the main Colors patches you are authorized to wear during your probationary first year. As a Probate you will not be authorized to wear our Center Eagle Patch. Also included in the Joining Application you will find an order form for any Club Optional Patches you may wish to order. Keep in mind that when ordering the CLUB OPTIONAL PATCHES fees and shipping will apply.
Third, send ALL of the above mentioned documents along with any required application processing fees to VBMC Headquarters. Afterwards and each subsequent year all members are required to pay an annual dues to VBMC Headquarters. At the moment we accept Personal Checks, Certified Checks or Postal Money Orders (Direct pay can also be made via the Zelle phone app).
Make checks or money orders payable to VETERAN BIKERS MC HEADQUARTERS and in the “memo” or “for” section of the check you should list Veteran Bikers MC Application Processing Fee and /or Dues. Mail with the other requested documents to our address listed in the application packet.
NON-MEMBER SUPPORT (NMS) has been created to accommodate spouses or significant others of actual club members who wish to ride along with their spouses or significant other but do not wish to become actual club members but only wish to show their support for VBMC. These non-members have no club rights or privileges. NMS may ride along with their spouse or significant other on APPROVED VBMC rides and missions only and will be the sole responsibility of their member spouse or significant other and must conduct themselves according to club expectations when doing so.
NMS will be authorized to wear ONLY the single VBMC Support Patch or our single VBMC Lady Of Patch along with our VB American Flag patch on their vest. NO OTHER patches or pins are to be worn on a NMS vest.
THE ACTUAL CLUB MEMBER WILL POSSESS AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE NMS VEST AND ITS USE BY THEIR SPOUSE OR SIGNIFICANT OTHER.
ALL MONIES RECEIVED TO INCLUDE APPLICATION PROCESSING FEES AND DUES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
Headquarters as well as your Chapter will create a file in your name with copies of your documents and checks kept on record as proof of your active membership.
All Official VBMC Colors Patches are to be worn on a black leather vest. (note: each member must purchase their own BLACK LEATHER RIDING VEST).
ALL MAIN COLORS PATCHES ARE THE SOLE PROPERTY OF VETERAN BIKERS MC HQ LLC. IF AT ANY TIME A MEMBERSHIP IS TERMINATED THE FORMER MEMBER MUST RETURN ALL MAIN COLORS PATCHES TO VBMC HEADQUARTERS OR TO A VBMC CHAPTER OR ACTIVE MEMBER IMMEDIATELY. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN LEGAL ACTIONS BEING TAKEN AGAINST THE FORMER MEMBER. (Main Colors Patches include: Top Rocker, Center Eagle, Bottom Rocker, State Cube, MC Cube and VB Flag patches).
Optional Patches and Items are also made available AT COST to all VBMC members. These are yours to keep even if your membership has been terminated. These include Name tags, Officer tags, Chapter tags, Chaplain and Middle Man patches, Greater 4 Diamond patch, V2FFV2 and GCCV patches, Fist Salute patch, Ace Card patch, Hash Mark patches, III% and Oath Keeper patches, C3 and 13 patches, Ball Caps, Rings and/or other jewelry.
